XP Autoplay Error
I am using window XP. I have no problem playing music cd until now. I have noticed that the computer is reading the CD-ROM every minute although there is no CD inside the CD-ROM. Sometimes, they would give me an ‘autoplay’ message. It also interfere with my internet, cutting it off every few minutes.
How to Fix autoplay error in XP

↣ Check your system for malware and viruses and make sure its clean.
↣ Try to run sfc /scannow from start>Run and check if same issue
↣ If yes then start the system in safe mode, and check if same problem is happening there also if No then from normal mode do this, Goto Start>Run>msconfig>Startup, and click on Disable All
↣ now goto Services section, and tick Hide Microsoft Services and now untick all those third party services
↣ restart and now check
↣ Now, If you’ve same problem, so i’m sure that your pc cd-rom driver is corrupted.

↣ Reinstall your cd-rom driver.
↣ cd-rom driver reinstall given below step.
↣ first click on start >> click on run >> type devmgmt.msc >> and then click cd-rom entry >> and then right click on cd-rom >> uninstall the driver of cd-rom >> then reinstall and rebote your pc.

↣ Click on Start >> Run >> and type GPEDIT.MSC and press Ok.
↣ Go to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System.
↣ Locate the entry for Turn autoplay off and modify it as you desire.
