When you buy a new PC, Windows 10 is pre-activated. But if you are assembling a pc then you have to buy Windows 10. No matters, whatever the reason you have, you can easily transfer License key to another PC under the Microsoft rules.

You can free upgrade Windows 10 with full version, not on a trial period but some restrictions can be applicable.

  • If you bought retail copy of Windows 10, then you can transfer the product key for your another computer. If you upgrading Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 to Windows 10 with a retail copy, then you can still able to move the license key to new PC.
  • If you are upgrading from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 or 7, these are preinstalled on a pc from the manufacturer, and then your Windows 10 hold OEM rights which can not be transferable.
  • If you hold full retail copy of Windows 10, then you can transfer the license as many times as you want.
