How to Fix unable to Play DVD movie on Vista

Please do the following steps to Play DVD movie on Vista | DVD Decoder Problem on Vista

Step 1

 Please Insert a DVD into the DVD drive
 If a window opens automatically close it
 Click On Start Menu >> Click On Computer
 Right-click On DVD drive icon & Select Explore
 If the drive is not recognizing the disc.
 Please insert another disc & make sure the drive is truly a DVD drive
 You will see a listing of files/folders in the right pane of Explorer.
 If you are going to play a typical DVD movie you will see the folders VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS.
 If are unable to see any folders or it opens with an error, it may be due to the following error
 The disc may be bad try another disc.
 The disc may be incompatible with the type of drive in the computer HD-DVD Blu-Ray
 Try a typical DVD movie
 If your DVD drive is unable to read a DVD but it can read cd then check the cable connection to the
 CD-Drive that it is properly inserted & that the cable is not damaged.

Step 2

 If you are using a System having 600+ MHz processor such as a Pentium II, Pentium III , Pentium 4 or
 AMD Athlon etc… you will need a software decoder over your System’s hardware device.
 Find the exact decoder for your System’s hardware device to play DVD.

Step 3

 If you are unable to play DVD It may be possible that you are using an expired decoder
 Please reset your System Clock time to a previous date on which you have last played the DVD.
