Using Windows 10 64 bit. I cannot rename any file or folder after updated kb4041994. When i try to rename any folder it give no response. I am able to rename files which are on my desktop but the files those are in other drive, unable to rename. Is there any solution for this error?

Possible Solution 1:

  Uninstall kb4041994 may resolve this issue.
  Press Windows+R key to open command prompt or
 
Type cmd.exe into Startup Menu> right click cmd.exe> select Open as administrator
 
type following code to uninstall
 
wusa /uninstall /kb:4041994

Possible Solution 2:

 Press Windows Key + R to open command promt
 Type “regedit”t open Registry Editor
 Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> Software> Microsoft> Windows> Current Version> Explorer> FolderDescriptions

You need to delete or rename following 5 items. I did renamed folder with “-BAD” after original Folder name

After rename reboot your computer and issue will be fixed now.
