How To Enable Task Manager

Tech Advise:1

 Click on Start Menu >> Run.
 Type in regedit & Enter.
 Search for HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ System.
 Look for: DisableTaskMgr. Click on REG_DWORD. Value: 1=Enable this key (disables TaskManager); Value: 0=Disable (actually enables TaskManager)
 Close Regedit
 Reboot your machine.

Tech Advise:2

 Click On Start >> Run
 Enter gpedit.msc in the Open box and click OK
 In the Group Policy settings window
 Select User Configuration
 Select Administrative Templates
 Select System
 Select Ctrl+Alt+Delete options
 Select Remove Task Manager
 Double-click the Remove Task Manager option.

Tech Advise:3

 Click On Start Menu>>Run
 Type REGEDIT
 Click OK The Registry Editor will now open
 Browse to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\system
 In the right pane look for the value: DisableTaskMgr
 Right click DisableTaskMgr and select Delete. (When prompted with “Are you sure you want to delete this value”, select Yes.

Now browse to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
 In the right pane look for the value: DisableTaskMgrRight click DisableTaskMgr and select Delete. (When prompted with “Are you sure you want to delete this value”, select Yes.
 Close the Registry by choosing File | Exit
 You should now be able to access Task Manager.
 If not reboot into Safe Mode and repeat the steps outlined above.
