Configure size limit for both .pst and .ost file in outlook
Please do the following steps to configure the size limit for both .pst and .ost files in Outlook 2007 and in Outlook 2003
How to Configure size limit for both .pst and .ost file in outlook
Step.1
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Click On Run Button
↣ Type regedit in the Open box & then press Enter
↣ Caution : Incorrect Registry Editing can cause serious problems.
↣ Please be careful while editing registry or contact our supoprt team to fix it remotely
In the left pane expand My Computer & then expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER
↣ Expand Software & then expand Policies
↣ Expand Microsoft & then expand Office
↣ Expand 11.0 for Outlook 2003 & 12.0 for Outlook 2007 & then expand Outlook
↣ Click On PST & then right-click MaxFileSize in the right pane
↣ Click On Modify & then type the value in the Value data box
↣ Click OK
↣ Right-click WarnFileSize & Click Modify & then type the value in the Value data box
↣ Click OK
↣ Right-click MaxLargeFileSize & Click Modify & then type the value in the Value data box
↣ Click OK
↣ Right-click WarnLargeFileSize & Click Modify & then type the value in the Value data box
↣ Click OK
Note: You may have to create the registry values if they do not exist
↣ Try this method to create the registry values
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Click On Run Button
↣ Type regedit in the Open box & then press Enter

For Outlook 2007
HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> Policies >> Microsoft >> Office >> 12.0 >> Outlook
For Outlook 2003
HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> Policies >> Microsoft >> Office >> 11.0 >> Outlook
↣ On the Edit menu point to New & then click Key
↣ Type PST & then press ENTER
↣ On the Edit menu point to New & then click DWORD value
↣ Type MaxFileSize & then press ENTER two times
In the Edit DWORD Value window type the value in the Value data box & then click OK
& then Close registry editor \r
Things to do before fixing Error message
↣ Back up your files and folders
↣ Create a restore point so that you can restore to an earlier date if required
