Cannot recognize USB hard drive in Computer
How to Fix Unable to recognize USB hard drive
Please do the following steps to recognize USB hard drive in Computer
Step 1
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Click On Control Panel
↣ Click On System >> Click On Device Manager
↣ Delete the Unknown device & detach the USB cable
↣ & then connect the power cable & USB cable again
Restart Computer
Step 2
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Right Click On My Computer
↣ Click On Manage >> Click Disk Management In the left pane of the Computer Management utility
↣ In the lower right pane Search USB drive & right Click On drive & Select Change Drive Letter & Paths
↣ Click Change & on the right side >> Click On down arrow & select a drive letter.
↣ You will only be given open drive letters to choose from.
& then Click OK
Step 3
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Click On Run Button
↣ In the Open Box type devmgmt.msc & Press Enter
↣ Click On ‘+’ Sign to Universal Serial Bus Controllers
↣ Right-click on USB Root Hub >> Properties >> Power Management
↣ If the box next to Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power is checked
↣ Please uncheck it & then Click OK
↣ Repeat this for each entry of USB Root Hub
↣ After that Click On Scan for hardware changes
