How to install Recovery Console

 Please Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive.
 Click Start On & then click Run Button.
 In the Run Menu type d:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons where d is the drive letter for the CD-ROM drive.
 In the case of ‘Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, type d:\amd64\winnt32.exe /cmdcons where d is the drive letter for the CD-ROM drive.
 A Windows Setup Dialog Box appears. The Windows Setup Dialog Box describes the Recovery Console option.

To confirm the installation click On Yes.

 Restart the computer.
 The next time that you start your computer
 Microsoft Windows Recovery Console appears on the startup menu.
 Start Windows XP by using the Recovery Console.
 At te Recovery Console prompt
 Type the number of the older Windows operating system installation & then press ENTER.
 For example type the number that corresponds to the Windows XP installation.
 Type the Administrator password & then press ENTER.
 Type c: & then press ENTER.
 Type ren ntldr oldntldr & then press ENTER.
 Insert the Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
 Type map & then press ENTER. Note the drive letter that is assigned to the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive that contains the Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM.
 Type copy drive:\i386\ntldr (where drive is the letter of the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive that contains the Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM & then press ENTER.
 For example type copy d:\i386\ntldr, and then press ENTER.
Type exit & then press ENTER to quit the Recovery Console.

Cause Of Error  BSOD Error || 0x00000079 or MISMATCHED_HAL

 Th Cause of the problem can be due to the following reasons
 The Stop 0x79 message indicates that the hardware abstraction layer  HAL  and the kernel type for the computer do not match
 This error most often occurs when ACPI firmware settings are changed  For example  you might install Windows XP on an x86 based computer with the firmware ACPI enable option enabled and later decide to disable it  This error can also result when mismatched single and multi processor configuration files are copied to the system
