Step.1
↣ Remove any existing Internet security programs
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Click On Start Search box
↣ In the Open box type appwiz.cpl & then press ENTER
↣ In the list of installed programs uninstall any third-party Internet security programs
↣ Restart computer & then try to install Microsoft Security Essentials again
Step 2
↣ Make sure the Windows Installer service is running
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Click On Start Search box
↣ In the Open Box type services.msc & then press ENTER
↣ Right-click Windows Installer & then click Start
↣ If Start is unavailable and the Stop and Restart options are available the service is already started
↣ In the Services window on the File menu click Exit
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Click On the Start Search box
In the Open Box type command prompt
↣ Right-click Command Prompt & then click Run as administrator
↣ Type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER and then press ENTER
Note that there will be no indication that this command has succeeded or failed.
Try to install Microsoft Security Essentials again
Step.3
↣ Start Windows in Selective Startup mode
↣ Click On Start Menu >> Click On Start Search box
In the Open Box type msconfig & then press ENTER
↣ Click On General tab >> click Selective Startup & then clear the Load Startup Items check box
↣ On the Services tab select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box,
↣ & then clear all the check boxes for the services that remain in the list.
↣ Click OK & then click Restart to restart the computer
↣ Try to install Microsoft Security Essentials again \r
