Stop the Windows Updation Service

Stopping the Windows Updation Service May help you cause

Open Run command ( Press Window + R).
Type services.msc and press enter.
Find the and open Window Update Service option.
Below the ‘General Tab’ You will see a Startup type tab Change it to Disable.
Restart you Device.

Use the group Policy Editor option

This option will provide you with notification about new updates without automatically uninstalling them.

Press windows key + R and type : gpedit.msc and press enter.
Go to Computer configuration>>Administrative Tempelate>>Windows Components>>Window Update.
Change the Configure Automatic Updates Settings and make it -“Notify for download and notify for install”.
Press Window Keys + I >> Update and Security >> Windows Updates.
Select “check for updates” to apply new configuration settings.
Restart.

Disabling Windows 10 update path from Registry.

Windows has published a way of disabling update but very few people knows the fact that we can disable the updates by disabling the Windows 10 update Path.

Go to Start menu and run regedit to open Registry Editor.
Set DisableOSUpgrade to 1 in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate.
Set ReservationsAllowed to 0 in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade.

Disable Automatic Drivers Update

You cannot stop Windows 10 from updating automatically but what you can do is you can stop Windows from updating your drivers automatically.

Go to Control Panel >> System >> Advanced System Settings.
System properties Window will Open.
Go to the Hardware Tab>>Device Installation Settings.
Click on no>>Save Changes.
