Fix Error message “Something Happened” appears while upgrading to Windows 10

I recently tried upgrading to windows 10 but i see a message “something Happened” with a blue screen.What should i do and how to fix this error message?

This error generally occurs when upgrading windows 7 or 8.1 to windows 10 using windows 10 media creation tool. If you want to fix the problem then follow the mentioned steps

 

Use Media Creation Tool  as an Administrator

  1. Right click on Media creation Tool exe file
  2. Go to Run as Administrator option
  3. Click and select.

 

Uninstall or Disable all Antivirus Program or any other security suites

  1. Press windows key + R>>Type control Panel and press enter
  2. Go to Programs and features
  3. Disable /uninstall your security suites.

 

Change your language settings to English(US)

  1. Press windows key + R>>Type control Panel and press enter
  2. lick on Region Icon.
  3. Simultaneously Type intl.cpl command on your Start Search Box
  4. Got Administrative Tab>>Click Change System Locale
  5. Select English(US) from the dropdown

 

Using Registry Editor

  1. Press windows key + R and type regedit on the dialogue box>>Press Enter to launch
  2. Go to Registry Key and type HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade
  3. At right-side make a new DWORD AllowOSUpgrade and set its value to 1
  4. Close the Editor and run update.

 

Enable your required Services

  1. Go to  Start Search box and Type services.msc to open Services Manager.
  2. Now look wheather the following services are running automatically or not
  •    Background Intelligent Transfer Service
  •    Server
  •    Workstation
  •    Automatic Updates OR Windows Update
  •    TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
  •    IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules

3. If any of the above service is stopped than start it immediately

4. Restart your PC.
