Error code : 0x80070005-0x90002 found on windows 10

I am seeing some code 0x80070005-0x90002 when i install anything. How should i fix it?

This error occurs when window is not able to find suitable files needed during updation process. So, if you want to fix the error code 0x80070005-0x90002 follow the steps –

 

Disable Your antivirus

  1. Disable all the antivirus and windows firewall
  2. Now again, Run the window 10 installer through windows update.
  3. If it  still doesn’t work the turn on your antivirus and firewall and run DSIM system readiness tool.
  4. Turn off your firewall and antivirus again and install windows 10 again

 

Stop and restart all windows update service

  1. Go to Start menu and search for cmd.
  2. Right click on cmd>>Select option run as administrator.
  3. Type net stop bits, net stop wuauserv, net stop aapidsvc, net stop cryptsvc one by one and press enter after typing each of them.
  4. Type Ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.bak and enter.
  5. Type Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak and press enter.
  6. After the above process type net start bits, net start wuauserv, net start appidsvc, net start cryptsvc one by one and press enter after typing each of them
  7. Restart your PC.

 

Use Registry Method

  1. Go to start search box and type regidit to open Registry Editor.
  2. Navigate to computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade.
  3. Click on OSA upgrade and right click on Right Pane, go to new and click on DWORD (32-bit) value.
  4. Give name to DWORD value as AllowOSUPGRADE.
  5. Double-click on  AllowOSUpgrade and change its value data to1.
  6. Restart your PC.

Use the clean Boot option

  1. Go to Start>>Search msconfig.
  2. Go to System configuration and Select it.
  3. Go to the Services tab select all and click on checkbox Hide all Microsoft Services and press ok
  4. Open task manager by going to the startup tab in System configuration window
  5. Disable each startup item
  6. Close Task Manager
  7. Restart your PC.

Through .ISO file

Disconnect the internet while setting up your windows update option through iso file.
